Samba Kennels Makes History at the ABKC Alabama Red Carpet Dog Show
A Historic Weekend for Samba Kennels
The ABKC Alabama Red Carpet Dog Show in Andalusia, Alabama became one of the most memorable weekends in Samba Kennels history.
We arrived with dogs representing years of planning, selection, investment, travel, and dedication to our breeding program.
We left celebrating a Best in Show winner and three new ABKC Champions.
For Samba Kennels, this weekend represented much more than trophies. It was another major step in showing what our Brazilian Bull breeding program is producing in the United States and internationally.
CH Samba’s Smoke Show Wins Best in Show
One of the biggest moments of the weekend belonged to CH Samba’s Smoke Show.
Smoke Show is a daughter of the late LPK Sheik and Bucanas and holds a very special place in our history as Samba Kennels’ first Brazilian Bull Champion.
At less than 18 months old, she entered the Alabama Red Carpet Dog Show already carrying an impressive record.
She left with one of her biggest accomplishments yet.
BEST IN SHOW.
Smoke Show also earned Best of Breed honors throughout the event, proving once again her quality, presence, structure, movement, and consistency in the show ring.

The weekend became even more special when Samba Kennels celebrated three additional new ABKC Champions.
CH Samba’s Manchay
CH Samba’s Sultan
CH Samba’s Monalisa
Three dogs. Three champions. One Samba Kennels breeding program.
And they all share something very important.
They are all Samba Kennels productions and offspring of the late LPK Sheik.

This accomplishment was especially emotional because of Sheik.
LPK Sheik made an extraordinary contribution to Samba Kennels, and his legacy continues through the dogs he produced.
CH Samba’s Smoke Show, CH Samba’s Manchay, CH Samba’s Sultan, and CH Samba’s Monalisa all carry his influence into the next generation.
Seeing four of his offspring reach championship-level success is one of the greatest confirmations a breeder can receive.
A great dog can make an impression in the show ring.
A great producer leaves a legacy through generations.
RIP LPK Sheik.

Samba Kennels has dedicated years to the development, promotion, and international recognition of the Brazilian Bull.
Our breeding program focuses on structure, temperament, health, breed type, movement, and careful pedigree selection.
We have imported dogs, studied bloodlines, traveled internationally, competed under different judges, and worked alongside breeders who have contributed to the development of the Brazilian Bull.
Our goal is not simply to produce beautiful dogs.
Our goal is to build a recognizable Samba Kennels bloodline capable of producing Brazilian Bulls that can compete and represent the breed at a high level in the United States and around the world.

It is difficult to put into words what it means to see years of breeding decisions come together in moments like this.
None of these accomplishments happen alone.
First, I thank God for giving me the strength, opportunity, and determination to continue this journey.
Thank you to the judges who evaluated our dogs and to ABKC for providing Brazilian Bulls with the opportunity to compete and receive recognition.
A very special thank you to Tony and Deedee from Samba Kennels Red River for supporting our dogs at every show and putting in the miles, training, time, and dedication behind the scenes.
Thank you to Coach Monty for believing in Manchay and recognizing his potential.
And thank you to Dusty Ellison for presenting and handling our dogs so beautifully in the ring.
